For 10 days, from the 7th to the 17th of December, HOLA LISBOA will have a competition programming of portuguese and spanish feature films, shorts and documentaries, as well as a non-competitive showcase of international cinema spoken in portuguese and spanish.

The creation of this festival arose from the feeling that there was an intercultural gap between these two neighbouring countries, particularly regarding cinema. We believe that HOLA LISBOA may contribute towards a cultural interchange where spanish cinema will be watched by a portuguese audience and portuguese cinema will be watched by a spanish audience.

The national symbol of the french Republic, the "Coq Gaulois", and the "Coq au vin", one of the symbols of french gastronomy to which a legend is also associated.

Searching for Nginga
Documentary
(work in progress)
The adventures of an uncommon sovereign reviving fundamental part of Angolan history that European orthodoxy carefully disguised or cast away into the dungeons of memory.

No other sovereign combined the most unshakable strength with the greatest weakness, the simpler clemency with the most exaggerated severity, kindness and charity. In an exceeded and exaggerated way, Nginga impersonates the most
fascinating ambiguity of the human being: His strange capability of killing everyday and his capacity for loving always.

Format
Testimonies, narration and reconstitution of the more important historical episodes. The Angolan jungle as stage of history and its influence in the evolution of the events. Research and historical archive to illustrate the historical and anthropological facts.
